We collect information when you register as a user on our website, request funding for a project, want to be a vendor for a project, offer to be a volunteer, commit funding for a project or donate to a project.
When you register as a user on our website, and depending on the capacity in which you are registering, we may collect your personal data when you provide it to us. For example, you may give us: your email address, country of residence, and areas of interest if you choose to receive newsletters, updates, or other information from us; your contact information, and any other personal data you choose to include, if you email, text, or instant message us, or contact us through our sites; and any personal data contained in, or included with, any proposal documents, feedback, comments, photos, videos, or other information you submit via online portals, forms, surveys, or interactive portions of our sites.
It is always your choice whether to provide this personal data. However, some personal data must be provided to participate in certain programs, activities, or events, so the decision not to provide information might limit or eliminate certain functions of our sites or your ability to participate. your preferences for funded projects to benefit or be funded or supplied by you.
We may receive personal data about you from other sources, including your company/organization, professional references, publicly-available sources, third-party analytics providers, and other third parties. For example, we may receive your personal data if: someone at your company/organization designates you as a contact person for that company/organization or includes information about you in proposal documents; another visitor includes it in any feedback, comments, photos, videos, or other information submitted via online portals, electronic forms, surveys, or interactive portions of our sites; or one of our employees or service providers provides or a third party acting on apparent authority provides it to us when registering you to access our services or our website, apply for a job, or participate in one of our events.
Use of Information
Touch A Life uses the personal data that you provide or we obtain and the technical information logged by our servers, to:

send you updates on what projects are available to fund and how funded projects are progressing, though you can opt out of receiving such updates by following the instructions contained in each email or other message we send to you;

after anonymizing the information, use it for statistical and market research purposes, including sharing it with affiliates, business partners, and academic researchers;
operate our website, market and advertise our services, and operate our business; and

These service providers are authorized to use your personal data only to the extent necessary to serve these purposes, or as otherwise authorized by this policy.
We will also make your data accessible to other registered users on a 'need to know' basis, i.e. to the extent and in the manner necessary or desirable to enable such other users to perform the roles assigned to them in connection with a project or the charitable aim of Touch A Life generally.
Except as stated in 5.1 or 5.2 above, we will not voluntarily trade, share or sell a user's personal data with or to anyone else.
